Makeover?

In August, I considered ordering a custom-made blog design. However, I gave up on the idea because:

I had no idea what style I wanted

I was averaging 2 posts a month

I only had a handful of followers

So, I decided to hold off on spending any $$$ on my blog until I was more consistent with my blogging and until I had reached 50+ followers.

I figured: Hey, if that many people are taking the time to read my blog every day, I should at least give them something pretty to look at! :)

{This picture is totally unrelated. I just thought I'd share a glimpse of my Bridal Bouquet for those of you who enjoyed yesterday's peonies. Pictured here:  pink-tipped white peonies, green hypericum berries, pink and coral roses, and white stephanotis...Tied together with a white organza ribbon and ornamented with my great-grandmother's antique brooch}

In the meantime, I have opted for some cute {and free} blogger backgrounds from sites like this and this and this...oh and this.

Well, it has been six months and I know exactly what style I want {simple & fresh}, I'm averaging 4 posts a week, and I have {as of just a few minutes ago} 56 followers and counting...

{Another unrelated picture. But who doesn't love Audrey? So fabulous, even when she's sound asleep}

So, what do you think I should do?

a) Continue using free backgrounds

b) Opt for a simple white background like the one I have now, using a header I created

c) Buy a template from a web designer

Is it really worth spending the money to fix up my blog if I don't use it for a business {except for etsy}?

Also...Is there a way {either by paying someone to do it or by doing it myself} to make a 3-column layout on Blogger?

Help!

P.S. I want to thank you for being such faithful followers. You always leave me the sweetest comments and I truly appreciate every one of you! :)

seems to be a day for thanking today! :-) i posted my thanks as well this morning. i like a clean background with a personalised banner...i'm too early in my blogging days to change anything but will eventually (if number of followers is kept up!).i like yours as it is, anyway.

What a fantastic problem to have! I love all your ideas...here what I think..being a fan of white he he) If you want to stick with it---do it! Yours looks great as is. Maybe add a light line border to help your posts stand out???

As for custom templates and what not...Depends on how you want to spend your $$$. Maybe set a goal..."when I have X amount of followers I will do it." It will give you a chance to save! If you have been saving, and you've reached your goal, and you really know what you want, then girl! What are you waiting for! Go for it!

P.S.Love the random wedding pic!

hey there. I vote for using free blogger templates – there are so many out there. I really like this website:

Here's the code to alter your layout into a three-column style:

I read blogs from reader and was coming to tell you where to find instructions on how to change to 3 columns, but you obviously figured it out. I like what you have going right now. I think the header colors are great. It is very simple and clean.

I love your flowers and that broach is so precious.
Also love that the cat is sleeping on her how cute!
I like all the free ones you have been using. They have all looked great to me, the white looks good too...but as you know I'm a horrible decision maker :)Can't wait to see what you decide!
