Belated Love Day

I realize that I'm about 2 weeks too late on this post. I also realize that many people view Valentine's Day as a pathetic excuse for Hallmark and Chocolate makers to take advantage of us...and maybe it is. But I love what this little faux holiday can represent:

Love for each other. Love for our Creator. Love for life.

Plus...I love any excuse to give and receive gifts :)

Here is what our "Love Day" consisted of:

...and much more :)

Even though it's no longer Valentine's Day, it's always good to share some love.
So, be sure to tell someone you love them today!

What are your thoughts on this "Holiday"?

P.S. Thank you so much for the great Giveaway, Cecia!

The gift card will be used to purchase some much-needed items for our home, like...

{hehe, "much needed"}

I'll be sure to post pictures of whatever I end up buying. Thanks again! :)

I love Outback! And I like Valentine's Day, just another reason to celebrate our relationship, although it's not the only time we do that. I don't usually spend much money on that holiday either, I appreciate a hand written note on a piece of paper. =)

Sounds like a perfectly romantic day!

I think it's great that you guys celebrated on a different day!

I love Valentine's Day; it's my wedding anniversary and it was the day I found out I was pregnant with my son......26 years ago.

It's always so refreshing to meet people who aren't cynical about Valentine's day!

I've always loved Valentine's Day, even when I was single. It's not just about celebrating romantic love, but also the love we have for friends and family :)

Elizabeth: I actually made the apple pie and the box myself! Instructions found here:

My husband thought I bought them from a bakery, so I'd say they were a success! :)

Very cute...I love Valentines day...and your little pie box. Nice work!

I think it is nice though, to spread the love, and create little loving surprises even when it is not Valentines Day. Thanks for your Post-V day Post!
