How adorable is this?

I always wanted a canopy bed {yes, even as a 9 year old, I dreamed of home decor}, but I certainly would have settled for that adorable little bed-cupboard!

My sister and I had bunkbeds, which could also be pretty fun, especially when we hung sheets and blankets around them to make a big fort. That was until the dog, becoming annoyed by our non-stop giggling, attempted to crawl out from where he was hiding under the bed, thereby scaring the crap out of us...because we never would have assumed that our 100lb red doberman could fit under there, which of course meant a monster was coming to get us.

Boys' Rooms

I am not pregnant, but I am fond of designing nurseries, play rooms, and kids' rooms. Here are some of my favorite rooms for little boys {that could also be unisex, since they're so versatile}:

I am utterly obsessed with decorating our child's bedroom...and I don't even have any kids!

{And, to answer the inevitable question, no I am not pregnant!}

I can't help it; decorating for babies and kids is just so much fun! I've already decided that I'm going to stay away from traditional baby themes. However, I'm not choosing anything too bold, either, as I want it to remain a soothing environment for our little one.

We'll probably go with a contemporary color scheme (aquamarine, gray, etc.), stenciled designs on the wall (trees, animals, etc.), and definitely some cute monogrammed pillows, blankets, etc.

Our official nursery details will not be divulged until I actually have a bun in the oven. Since we're not going to start "trying" for a few years, I hope you enjoy disappointment...anyone catch where that quote is from? ;)
